After many shows, a few line-up changes and far too much fun at countless bars and parties, I am the Heat finds themselves at their most exciting stage yet. Their
music captures the sound of rooftop parties, sweaty dance-floors, summertime flings, champagne, high fives and best friends. Equally inspired by the fury of 60's garage
rock bands as they are with the masters of post-punk minimalism, I am the Heat has one aim with the music they write: "It's gotta be fun, and it's gotta make you move."
Started in 2005, the Brooklyn-based band is made up of members from both coastlines and varied backgrounds. I am the Heat melds Jameson Edwards' fast-paced vocals and
spastic guitars with Anthony Dines' energetic and bombastic bass, Braden Polk Hasnay's flowing keyboard lines and punctuates it with Mike Horaz's frenetic drums. Forever
seeking that next exciting night out, that next crowd to work up, that next song to write or that next friend to meet, I am the Heat simply loves the future, and
can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
